Kanye Debuts On Kourtney And Kim Take New York
West visits NYC to see Kardashian while she’s on location shooting an episode for the reality show. At this point, they are just friends. West had just ended his relationship with model Amber Rose. At the same time, Kardashian was married to basketball player, Kris Humphries, who she later divorced.
Kimye’s First Public Appearance At Lakers Game
Things started to heat up between the two celebrities when they were spotted cozying up at a Lakers Game in 2012. The following day, Kardashian and West were photographed sharing a kiss outside her Italia Vogue photoshoot set. Further cementing to the public, they were officially together.
Kimye’s First Met Gala
In a post on Twitter, Kardashian shared how nervous she was to attend her first Met Gala as West’s plus one. There were rumors that she and the rest of the Kardashian clan were blacklisted from the event by Vogue’s own, Anna Wintour.
Kardashian made headlines in her Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy dress, or the internet dubbed “couch dress.” Kardashian shared on Instagram how she felt so insecure and went home and cried after the event. Now, she regards the floral one piece as one of her favorite looks.

Kanye Proposes To Kim On Her 33rd Birthday in 2013
On October 21st in 2013, West proposed to Kardashian inside the AT&T Park in San Francisco. A blind-folded Kardashian was led into the park and serenaded by a orchestra to her favorite Lana Del Rey song, “Young and Beautiful.” While a jumbotron screen flashed “Pleeease Marry Meee.”
Kim Debuts In Kanye’s Bound 2 video
In the music video for Bound 2, Kardashian was featured topless, riding on top of West’s motorbike. It later sparked other parodies, such as Bound 3 featuring Seth Rogan and James Franco creating a shot-for-shot remake.
First Vogue Cover
Kimye landed their first cover of Vogue in April of 2014 that caused an outbreak of criticism. Vogue Editor-In-Chief Anna Wintour finally addressed her reasons for putting the Wests on the cover during her trailer for her Master’s class on creativity and leadership. “Kim and Kanye were a part of the conversation of the day, and for Vogue to not recognize that would’ve been a misstep,” Anna shares in the Master class trailer here.

During the premiere of the 16th season of Keeping Up of the Kardashian’s, West sat down and finally gave his first on camera interview with Kardashian present. Kim and Kanye Married In Italy In 2014
With baby North in tow, Kimye made it official at a lavish wedding in Italy. Guests received a private tour of the place of Versailles and were later flown to Florence for the ceremony, according to Harper’s Bazaar. The couple and baby North were all wearing custom Givenchy.

Amid Kimye separation rumors and receiving backlash for taking her family to a private island on her birthday, during a pandemic. Kardashian turned to Twitter to share a heartfelt thank you to her husband for his unique gift.
