Who would have guessed that the girl we described was just exactly what the doctor prescribed? Now, the father finds her beguiling, watch out C.C., and the kids are actually smiling, such joie de vivre. She’s the lady in red when everybody else is wearing tan. The flashy girl from Flushing, the nanny named Fran.

The idea for the show came from Fran Drescher herself, who developed the show with, then husband, Peter Marc Jacobson. The first episode of The Nanny aired back on CBS in November 3, 1993. The show had a successful run of six seasons; compiling a total of 146 episodes. Finally airing its last episode on June 23, 1999.
