The 2021 NFL season has not started yet, but teams are already making moves trying to bolster their squads. Plenty of teams have acquired some important players in their teams while some have let go of them. Other teams have renewed key players while some are still negotiating  deals. Here are the most notable free agency done deals in the NFL thus far.

J.J. Watt To The Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals got an important piece in their defense before free agency started. He will be a big asset for the team and will improve a defense that was not at all bad last season. He may be 31years old, but he still has a lot to prove and has an opportunity to run for a Super Bowl title with the Cardinals this upcoming season.

A.J. Green To The Arizona Cardinals

A.J. Green will be improving the wide receivers roster for the Cardinals who will now have another threat in offense. A.J. Green was quiet in the beginning of the last season, but improved towards the end with the Cincinnati Bengals. He may not be at his all star level anymore, although, he can help and be a key player with a better team and quarterback throwing passes his direction.

Dak Prescott Re-Signs With The Dallas Cowboys

An agreement was finally reached between Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys. The deal is for four years, $160,000,000, including a $66,000,000 signing bonus, $126,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $40,000,000. Those are some ridiculous numbers, but that is how the league is in todays modern era. As soon as he got injured the Cowboys stumbled and never recuperated from his ending season injury.

Jonnu Smith To The New England Patriots

He was one of the best tight ends last season and has now joined the Patriots. The deal is for four years and $50,000,000. No doubt Smith will be an important player for the Patriots and will be missed in Tennessee. He played a great 2020 season and that caught the attention of the Patriots who now have a great tight end in their team for the upcoming four years.

Hunter Henry Joins The New England Patriots

Another great tight end will be in New England as Hunter Henry is a tip quality tight end. His deal is for three years and $37,500,000. He was a very important key player in Los Angles Chargers. Now will now be competing with Jonnu Smith for the starting role in the tight end position this season. Henry has the ability to score and can defend as well due to his size. New England now have two great tight ends in their ranks for the next season and years to come.

Ryan Fitzpatrick Joins The Washington Football Team

Ryan Fitzpatrick is taking his magic to the nations capital and no doubt boost the Washington Football Team chances of winning. He signed a deal for one year and earn 10 million dollars. Yes he may be a veteran quarterback, but he still has a lot of gas left in the tank and will indeed be a great asset to the team.

Curtis Samuel Joins The Washington Football Team

Clearly this was a big acquisition for the Washington Football Team as Curtis Samuel is a very versatile player. He’s a wide receiver that can catch the ball and he can also run it as well. Samuel can be involved in some special plays that head coach Ron Rivera loves calling during matches. He has a lot to offer for the Washington Football Team and no doubt will be a key player.

Trent Williams Re-Signs With The San Francisco 49ers

The offensive linemen will be the highest paid in his position in NFL history. The deal is for six years and $138,060,000. $55,100,000 are guaranteed and no doubt he was a key player that the 49ers wanted to keep in the long-term. The Kansas City Chefs were also chasing Trent Williams but in the end he ended up staying in San Francisco with the 49ers. Head coach Kyle Shanahan played an important role for him resigning with the 49ers.

Corey Davis Joins The New York Jets

Corey Davis had a great season with the Tennessee Titans which caught the attention of many teams. In particular, the New York Jets as he signed a three year deal worth $37,500,000. Indeed this will be a huge boos for the Jets offense as last season was a very poor one to say the least. With Corey Davis in the team, the Jets add a quality wide receiver for a decent price and he has proven the can deliver in key games.

Nelson Agholor Joins The New England Patriots

The New England Patriots have been very busy in the free agency market and landed Nelson Agholor in the process. He is a great wide receiver and had some good numbers last season with the Las Vegas Raiders. He will be the primary target alongside Julian Edelman in the wide receiver position. This will bolster the Patriots offense and will no doubt improve in offense for the upcoming season.

Plenty Of Changes Still To Come

As the free agency continues to roll, their will be more big names moving to different teams. On the other hand, their will be some players who will remain with their team with a better contract than the one they had. All in all it will be interesting where Deshaun Watson ends up playing this year and other important players who’s future remain uncertain. In the end we will see what happens in the next couple of days and weeks.
