If you plan on opening your Christmas gifts early Christmas morning and wondering what you will do for the rest of the day? Well, you can sit back and relax and watch some basketball the whole day. There are five games on Christmas to keep you and the family entertained and to spend some time together. The 73rd edition of the Christmas Day has some great games with some great players throughout the whole day. Here are the games that are slated on Christmas day.

New Orleans Pelicans vs. Miami Heat

Firstly, the Heat will host the Pelicans on at 12 p.m. ET on ESPN. This is a great way to kick off your day. Zion Williamson will look to start off the season with a big bang and what better way to do so against the Eastern Conference champions on their home court. Although, it will not be easy as on the other side he will be facing off against Bam Adebayo. He is arguably in contention for the best Defensive Player of the Year. Indeed it will be a great game and a great way to start your day.

Golden State Warriors vs. Milwaukee Bucks

Coming off an unforgettable 2019-2020 campaign, the Golden State Warriors will try to bounce back and be amongst the title contenders. In spite of Klay Thompson getting injured once again and missing the whole upcoming season, the Warriors still look like a dangerous team. Stephen Curry will lead the team but on the other hand, there is current reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo. Yes the Bucks come from a disappointing early loss in the playoffs last season, but they will look to bounce back this season.

What a great way to do so by defeating a Warriors team who has gotten healthy and has recruited some great players. The Bucks will look to defend their home as good as they did last year. So, expect a great high scoring game. Kickoff will be at 2:30 p.m. ET on ABC.

Brooklyn Nets vs. Boston Celtics

The Brooklyn Nets have acquired one of the biggest names in the NBA in Kevin Durant. He will be joining Kyrie Irving it what it looks like an incredible duo. Also, they have a new coach, Steve Nash. This game would’ve been a special one for Kyrie Irving as he would’ve returned to Boston and play against his ex-team. No doubt that the TD Garden would’ve let know Kyrie Irving how they feel about him leaving the Celtics.

On the other hand, the Celtics let go of Gordon Hayward and Kemba Walker is facing an injury at the moment. This opens up for a monster game for Jayson Tatum to take control of the Celtics offense. It will be interesting to see how Durant performs in a highly intensive game coming from the torn Achilles tendon he suffered last season. Undoubtedly, this will be a great game and we can see a little preview of what we can expect if these two teams face in the playoffs later in the year. Kickoff is at 5 p.m. ET on ABC.

Dallas Mavericks vs. Los Angeles Lakers

Absolutely the best game of the day, the Lakers will host the Mavericks in an electrifying match up. LeBron James and Anthony Davis will look to start off the season in a winning way, but they must stop Luka Doncic. Doncic is coming from a great campaign last season and is a real threat to be one of the NBA’s MVP Candidates. Although, he will not have Kristaps Porziņģis by his side to help him, the Mavericks have a competitive team.

Clearly, the Lakers look stronger, but it will be interesting to see how they will do with the new players that they have acquired and departed from the team. Indeed this will be a great match that will start at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Denver Nuggets

The Los Angeles Clippers are coming from a disappointing playoff performance last season. They had a three to one lead against these Denver Nuggets and couldn’t manage to win won more game. They will look for some revenge even though they will prefer it was in the playoffs. Nonetheless, the Nuggets will not be an easy team to beat. You don’t have to remind the Clippers of that.

This match will no doubt have lots of points and great player match ups. The Clippers just wrapped up Paul George on a five year max deal. They are also negotiating extending Kawhi Leonard to a max contract deal as well. The Clippers have acquired new key players as well as the Nuggets. Definitely this game will be fun to watch as the Clippers will seek revenge from an embarrassing elimination to the Nuggets last season. The game is expected to start at 10:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
