The baby news came wrapped as a shocking surprise to many. Especially those who still see Macaulay Culkin as young Kevin from his 1990 Home Alone movie days and believe he is still the same 8 year old little boy. The present couple first made contact back in 2017, on the Thailand set of the movie Changeland. Directed by Seth Green, the rated R comedy-drama relates the turmoils of two estranged friends who explore meaning while in Thailand, in this slice-of-life movie.

Needless to say, love blossomed for the two renowned previous child-stars while working on filming for the movie. Fast forward to 2021, the lovebirds have been an item for four years now. Though both Culkin and Song have enjoyed the sweetness of their romance in a more private hushed manner, away from the constant prying eyes. Good for them.

A Little Star is Born
Finally, on April 5, 2021, Song gave birth to a new little life. She delivered a healthy baby, weighing 6 pounds and 14 ounces in Los Angeles, California.
Together, Culkin and Song welcomed a son and named their little boy Dakota Song Culkin. The choice of name has special significance. It is in memory of Macaulay’s late sister, Dakota Culkin, who regretfully passed away in 2008.
Tragically, Macaulay Culkin and the rest of the Culkin family of 10 lost a sister and daughter in an accident. On a Tuesday night, December 10, 2008, Dakota Culkin was struck by a car.
The Los Angeles Police Department reported that while Dakota Culkin was out walking on the west side of L.A., she was severely hit by a vehicle after stepping off the curb. She was rushed to the UCLA hospital, where the following Wednesday, she died from her grave injuries. She was 29 years old.
