Frankie Jonas takes over TikTok. The 20-year-old brother of Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Nick Jonas has been known as the ‘Bonus Jonas’ for years. However, he is becoming the most famous brother, thanks to his popularity on the social media site, TikTok.

TikTok is a social media site that allows users to create short videos. It is unique compared to other social media sites because users can view videos on their ‘for you page’ without following anyone. It has become one of the most popular apps because of how convenient it is to use. Users can also partake in various challenges and trends to gain more likes and followers, which becomes addictive for many teens and young adults.

Frankie Jonas started making TikTok videos and partaking in trends, which has gotten him many followers. He is also the youngest of the four Jonas brothers. Though he is not a member of his older brothers’ band, many fans of the Jonas Brothers know who the young brother is, which adds to his TikTok fame.

Even though Frankie does not sing with his brothers, he has done some acting. In 2009, he voiced a character in the animated film Ponyo, where he also sings the theme song with Noah Cyrus.

The ‘Bonus Jonas’ also appeared on some of his brothers’ shows and movies. He was a recurring character on the Disney show Jonas, and he had a role in the movie Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. Overall, being the youngest brother of Kevin, Joe, and Nick allowed Frankie to act in some big productions and get his name into the public.

The Year of TikTok

TikTok is changing the world of social media. According to The New York Times, “TikTok is a fundamentally different app than American users have used before.” It is not like Twitter or Instagram because it gives users the content they would enjoy without the following aspect that other social media sites use.

The app was originally launched in China in 2016 as Douyin. In 2017, it was released outside of China as TikTok. However, it became a sensation towards the end of 2019, and it became the top downloaded app in 2020, surpassing YouTube and Instagram. The app currently has 800 million active users, making it more popular than other social media sites, like Twitter and Snapchat.

With almost half the users on the app being between the ages of 16 and 24, it is no wonder the app is taking GenZ by storm. Teens and young adults everywhere take part in trending TikTok dances and challenges. Frankie Jonas, being 20-years-old, fits right in with most TikTok users, so it makes sense he is so popular on the app and slowly becoming the most popular Jonas brother.

Nick Jonas, 28, is one of Frankie Jonas’ older brothers. Thus far, Nick has been immensely more famous and popular than his younger brother Frankie. Nick is a member of the Jonas Brothers and has been in the spotlight for 20 years. Frankie Jonas is 20-years-old and has not been as famous as his brothers.

However, Frankie Jonas joined TikTok and gained 1.4 million followers and 20 million likes on the app. In his videos, he pokes fun at how he is the least famous brother and joins various TikTok trends. He also interacts with his followers and responds in the comment section of his videos.

The youngest Jonas’ videos have gotten so popular that people began commenting on Nick Jonas’ TikTok videos about being Frankie Jonas’ brother. Nick responded with a TikTok video looking confused and captioning it, “I am @FrankieJonas’ brother #siblings.” Frankie Jonas’ newfound TikTok fame may be something Nick and the other brothers may need to get used to. They have always been the more famous brothers, but TikTok may be changing that!

Frankie Jonas' Future

Frankie Jonas may be TikTok famous, but he has big plans for his future. The 20-year-old plans on attending Columbia University next semester. Frankie announced his return to school on Instagram with a photo of himself in front of balloons spelling out ‘Columbia.’ His sisters-in-law, Danielle Jonas (wife of Kevin Jonas) and Sophie Turner (wife of Joe Jonas), both commented on the photo congratulating him.

While the youngest Jonas brother attends Columbia University, he will continue to create content for TikTok. He currently posts videos several times a day and seems to enjoy himself, and the number of likes shows his fans enjoy it. Whether it is a video responding to someone or a random video of himself, people love his content.

Overall, Frankie Jonas takes over TikTok, and it is the one place where he is more popular than his brothers. Kevin, Joe, and Nick need to move over because Frankie Jonas is clearly the TikTok king.
