As the European leagues are ending there are many leagues that already have an official champion in their league. However, like in Spain and France, the title race is still much in the air but a champion may be declared with a combination of results this weekend. Here are the teams from across the important leagues of Europe who already have an official champion in their league.

Bayern Munich

This past weekend Bayern Munich won their ninth consecutive Bundesliga title. No doubt this is an incredible achievement for the German giants. Clearly, they are dominating the German league although this season they started a little slow. However, as the season progressed, Bayern got their rhythm back and started playing the high level of soccer that everyone knows they possess.

An RB Leipzig loss to Borussia Dortmund three goals to two and Bayern demolishing Borussia Mönchengladbach six to cero officially sealed the championship. It is an incredible achievement for Bayern as they now have 30 Bundesliga titles. It is clear the Bavarian side are the dominant team in Germany and have not faced any competition in years domestically.

Now, they will have to reconstruct their team as Javi Martínez, David Alaba, and Jérôme Boateng will be departing the club next season. Top goal scorer, Robert Lewandowski, has an unclear future with the club. Plenty of teams have been flirting with the Polish striker as they want him on their squad. All in all, it is an incredible season for Bayern who will try to repeat being champion’s domestically next season.

Manchester City

The Citizens are the champions of England as they received help from Leicester City defeated their city rivals Manchester United. They now have seven league titles and won the league in a convincing form. This is their third Premiere League championship in the past four seasons. Indeed, they have been dominating the league in the previous years and look to continue that next season.

City will try to keep winning more titles and they will try to add more key player’s next season. However, there are some players whose future is up in the air and others who will be departing the team. Sergio Agüero is set to leave the club and he will no doubt be missed with all the goals he scored for the team. He is actually the teams leading goal scorer with 182 and he still has a chance to increase that sum as two games are left in the season.

American goalkeeper, Zack Steffen, made history as he became the first American to win the Premiere League. This is a huge deal for American soccer as they are now being considered by big clubs from across the world. We will see if City can repeat being champions next year and with what players in their squad.

Inter Milan

The Nerazzurri have stripped Juventus of their dominance in Italy this season. Inter finally won the league since the 2009-2010 season. Juventus had won the league in a consecutive form since the 2011-2012 season. The Milan club now have 19 Serie A titles and will look to repeat being champion’s next season. Inter became champions as on May 2nd, Atalanta tied against Sassuolo one goal apiece.

Now, Inter will be in the Champions League and won the league in a dominant form. They are currently 13 points ahead of the second and third place teams. Moving ahead now Inter now face some challenges in the offseason as some key players are being lured away to other big clubs. Even their head coach, Antonio Conte has an uncertain future at the club. So, we will see how all of that unfolds in the summer. For now, Inter are the champions of Italy after a big drought.

Sporting Clube de Portugal

The Portugal giants responsible for helping create some big names in the world of soccer such as Cristiano Ronaldo, finally ended a 19-year domestic title drought. With their one goal to nothing win over Boavista they became champions once again. They now have 19 domestic titles and played great throughout the whole campaign.

In previous years they always came close to winning the title or simply competing to make it to European soccer for the following season. Now, it is different as they had a great set of players and were the most consistent team the whole season.

We will see if these players will still remain in the club next season as there are big clubs across Europe who want their up-and-coming stars. One of those players is defender Nuno Mendes as he is being chased by Manchester City to join them this upcoming summer. The 18-year-old played a great season and no doubt he has a bright future ahead.

Other Notably European Champions

Glasgow Rangers are the champions of Scotland as they dethroned Celtic. This is their first domestic title in 10 years. They have faced many setbacks as they were relegated to the fourth tier of Scottish soccer over some financial issues and dodging taxes. Now fast forwarding to the present, they are unbeaten and have one game left to remain unbeaten the whole season.

Ajax are the Eredivisie champions and now have 35 domestic titles. The Dutch side won the title and won it in a convincing form. They are currently 14 points ahead of second place PSV with one game remaining.
