This year the 2021 NBA All-Star Game will take place in Atlanta on March,7. It will be flooded with the crème de la crème of NBA players. It was just announced the reserves for each conference. Many big names were announced, although there are some key players who were snubbed in this reserves list.

These 14 players were selected by the NBA head coaches and could not select a player from their own team. Each head coach voted for seven players (two guards, three frontcourt players, and two additional players regardless of their position.

Western Conference Reserves

Devin Booker will be replacing the injured Anthony Davis who will be unavailable to play at this years NBA All-Star Game. Devin Booker has been a formattable piece for the Phoenix Suns this year. His inclusion to the All-Star Game is a well deserve one as he has been playing some quality basketball.

Zion Williams will be playing in his first NBA All-Star Game of his young career. Indeed this was a no brainer as he has been producing some great numbers and playing outstanding so far. He is no doubt one of the best young talents in the NBA and it is great that he can participate along an elite group of players.

Donovan Mitchell will be participating in his second All-Star Game. He is leading the Utah Jazz to an incredible year and his participation is a well deserved one. Clearly, he had to be included on the list as his talent is impeccable and it should be taken to consideration.

Rudy Gobert has been selected to his second All-Star Game as he debuted last year and had an incredible performance. Unquestionably he is a gig asset for the Utah Jazz success this year and that has been rewarded for a call up to the All-Star Game.

Damian Lillard is indeed a true talent and it is great to see him included in this list. He is leading the Portland Trail Blazers to a great start of the season. No doubt everybody is ready to see “Dame Time.”

Paul George will be playing in his seventh All-Star Game this year. He has been playing some amazing basketball after his big monster contract with the Los Angeles Clippers. His performances have led to him to be included with the best players of the NBA.

Chris Paul will be participating in his 11th NBA All-Star Game. Unquestionably, he is playing some incredible basketball despite being 35 years old. His passing abilities are still intact and his leadership have proven that he can still hang around with the best group of players from the NBA.

Eastern Conference Reserves

James Harden is having an incredible start with the Brooklyn Nets and that has led him to be an All-Star player for the ninth time in his career. He is producing some incredible stats and is searching for his first NBA Championship.

Ben Simmons will be playing in his third All-Star Game at 24 years old. The Australian is playing well in every game and is very consistent. His performances every game have proven that he is up there with the best of the NBA players.

Zach LaVine will be playing in his first NBA All-Star Game this year. He is playing some ridiculous basketball with the Chicago Bulls this season. His scoring abilities have led him to be recognized to be an All-Star this year.

Jaylen Brown has been selected to the All-Star Game for the first time in his career. He has been playing great with the Boston Celtics and that has not gone unseen. Due to his incredible game, he has been awarded to be in the best game of the year with the most talented basketball players in the planet.

Nikola Vučević has been chosen to participate in his second All-Star Game in his career. He his having a breakout performance with the Orlando Magic thus far. Not only he can defend, but he can also score. He is definitely one of the best Center’s in the NBA.

Jason Tatum is another Celtic who will be in the All-Star Game. This will be his second appearance for the young talented player. He is the star for the Boston Celtics and it is great that he has been rewarded to the All-Star Game this year.

Julius Randle has been chosen to participate in his first All-Star Game. The 26 year old is playing lights out with the New York Knicks thus far and his call up is a well deserved one. He can score and he can defend as well. He has proven that he is worthy to play along the best NBA players.

Big Names Who Got Snubbed To Play

Like always there are going to be some big names who will miss out in a shortlist of the best players who can participate in the All-Star Game. Some of the biggest names this year include Bam Adebayo, De’ Aaron Fox, Brandon Ingram, Trae Young, Khris Middleton, Domantas Sabonis, Fred VanVleet, Tobias Harris, Mike Conley Jr., and DeMar DeRozan.

These are just a few players as the list can go on. Although, we have to understand that the selected players have to be the best ones out there and for their disappointment, there are other players who have been playing a tad better than them.

The 10 NBA All-Star Game Starters

The Western Conference players are LeBron James, Luka Dončić, Stephen Curry, Nikola Jokić, and Kawhi Leonard. The Eastern Conference players consist of Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal, Joel Embiid, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Kyrie Irving.

Team Durant will have the Philadelphia 76ers Doc Rivers as their head coach. On the other hand, Utah Jazz head coach, Quin Snyder will be the head coach for Team LeBron.

Indeed the 2021 NBA All-Star Game will have the upper echelon of players gathered for one spectacular night. Altogether, it is shaping up to be one of the best nights for the NBA and no doubt it will not disappoint.
